Like Ser Duncan the Tall, viewing figures for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms are sizable.

The Game of Thrones spinoff drew its largest audience to date for the Feb. 22 season finale. HBO says 9.5 million viewers in the United States watched the episode over its first three days. The show has also grown its viewer nearly every week during the six-episode season, with the lone exception being an early release of the fourth episode on the weekend of the Super Bowl.

Since its Jan. 18 premiere, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has averaged 14 million U.S. viewers across all platforms and 26 million worldwide, HBO says — numbers that will continue to grow for a while, since HBO measures viewing for a series for 90 days after it debuts. blogherads.adq.push(function () { blogherads .defineSlot( 'medrec', 'gpt-article-mid-article-uid0' ) .setTargeting( 'pos', ["mid-article1","mid-articleX","mid","mid-article"] ) .setTargeting( 'viewable', 'yes' ) .setSubAdUnitPath("ros\/mid-article") .addSize([[300,250],[2,2],[300,251],[620,350],[2,4],[4,2],[320,480],[620,366]]) .setClsOptimization("minsize") ; }); Related Stories TV TV Ratings: State of the Union Trends Down in Early Numbers TV 'Industry' Renewed for Fifth and Final Season at HBO

As is usually the case with HBO shows, the vast majority of the viewers for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms comes from streaming on HBO Max. The season finale, for instance, drew 626,000 people for its first airing on the HBO cable channel. On-air replays added some viewers, but it’s likely that 90 percent or more of the three-day total of 9.5 million came via streaming.

The Game of Thrones universe continues to be a big draw for HBO. House of the Dragon’s second season in 2024 averaged more than 25 million viewers in the United States, which was down some from season 1’s 29 million. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, based on George R.R. Martin’s Dunk and Egg novellas, is a much smaller-scale show than either House of the Dragon or the original series, but even without dragons or epic battles, it has still delivered the third largest debut season on HBO Max since the platform’s launch (behind House of the Dragon and The Last of Us). blogherads.adq.push(function () { blogherads .defineSlot( 'medrec', 'gpt-dsk-tab-mid-article2-uid1' ) .setTargeting( 'pos', ["mid","mid-article2","mid-articleX"] ) .setTargeting( 'viewable', 'yes' ) .setSubAdUnitPath("ros\/mid-article2") .addSize([[300,250],[300,251],[620,350],[2,4],[4,2],[320,480],[620,366]]) .setClsOptimization("minsize") ; });

HBO has already ordered a second season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which is due to premiere sometime in 2027.
