Why Ariana Grande Wants "a Tiny Mouse" to Play Her in a Biopic

Even Ariana Grande's curls deserve the chance to fly.

The Wicked star let her hair down in a recent beauty video, showing off her natural brunette curls as she revealed the shocking number of lipsticks and glosses she has in her everyday handbag.

"I'm going through my purse and I think it's actually crucial that you see," Ariana began in a March 4 Instagram video, , in which she wore a puffy headband pulling back her hair and a sheet mask on her face. "I want you to know how many things in my bag are lip products."

As she began pulling out each product, the 32-year-old was amazed that she was carrying at least five of her R.E.M. Beauty brand's glossy bombs, five plumping glosses, three lip stains and two lip-and-blush sticks, including one from the special collection inspired by her Glinda character.

"This is not a bit that I preset to make you guys laugh," Ariana told viewers. "This is for real."

The Grammy winner ended up pulling out 17 lip products before declaring that it was only "half" of the bag's contents, which also had "exciting testers of things to come."

She added, "That's all for lips!"

While Ariana did not reveal what hair products she keeps in her bag, she's been open about the journey of embracing her natural tresses after they were damaged during her time on Victorious.

"I had to bleach my hair and dye it red every other week for the first 4 years of playing Cat," Ariana shared in a 2014 Facebook post. "As one would assume, that completely destroyed my hair."

Though she wore a wig on the one-season spinoff Sam & Cat, the constant bleaching left her hair brittle. In fact, Ariana said that's why she started wearing her hair in her signature high ponytail.

As she put it, "My actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down."

And after spending years of having her hair up, the "7 Rings" singer considers the ponytail to be a part of her onstage persona.

"My real hair, which is this humongous curly poof," she shared during a 2020 appearance on Zach Sang Show, "so few people get to see it. It's cute and it reminds me of me as a kid."

Calling the dark brown coils "who I am privately," Ariana added, "The curls are definitely something that I don't bring around much."
