Dungeons & Dragons Reveals 2026 Roadmap With New Seasons Structure (Gaming News Roundup)

Game publisher Wizards of the Coast has announced the 2026 roadmap for Dungeons & Dragons, featuring the concept of “Seasons,” aiming to provide broader context to product drops.

The upcoming seasons include: Season of Horror which is anchored by “Ravenloft: The Horrors Within” and will run April through June, featuring the Tarokka Deck, The Horrors Within DM screen and map pack; Season of Magic, which is anchored by “Arcana Unleashed and Arcana Unleashed: Deadfall” and will run July through September, D&D Reference Card Decks and Organized Play connected to Arcana Unleashed and high magic themes; and Season of Champions which will run October through December, with its anchor product to be announced later.

“Ravenloft: The Horrors Within” will deliver more player options like new horror-themed subclasses, species, backgrounds, and Dark Gift feats. It will also deliver content around Darklords and Domains of Dread, as well as dozens of Fearsome Mists Denizens, including potential allies like Rudolph van Richten. “Ravenloft” is priced at $59.99 and will be available for pre-order on April 13, with a tier-based release schedule spanning June.

“The Tarokka Deck” includes 60 Tarot-style cards designed to enhance storytelling, character creation, or gameplay with “Ravenloft.” “The Tarokka Deck” is priced at $24.99 and will be released in June. “The Horrors Within: Dungeon Master’s Screen,” a four-panel DM screen with Ravenloft artwork, is priced at $24.99 and is set to release in June.

“The Horrors Within: Map Pack” features five double-sided poster maps and two token sheets, priced at $24.99 and set to release in June. “The Arcana Unleashed” sourcebook will serve as the ultimate guide for D&D magic enthusiasts, offering more high-magic character creation options and a new magic item system that will allow items to grow in power alongside character leveling-up, priced at $49.99 and available in September.

“Arcana Unleashed: Deadfall” is D&D’s ultimate Red Wizards adventure, outlining an all-new Wizard War as well as a deep dive into the magical society of Thay, priced at $29.99 and available in September. D&D Reference Card Decks, designed to allow players and DMs a tactile accessory to enhance and facilitate gameplay, will be released in August.
