Jim Carrey French speech for Cesar Awards was so emotional

In case you didn't know, the super-talented Jim Carrey grew up in Ontario, Canada and has French-Canadian ancestors.

Now that you know that, you should sit down and watch the actor and comedian accept an honorary Cesar Award in Paris on Thursday. He delivered his entire acceptance speech in French, speaking about his great-great-great grandfather was Marc-Francois Carré was born in France before emigrating to Canada.

He thanked his father, Percy Joseph Carrey ("who taught me the value of love, generosity, and laughter.”), his daughter Jane, his grandson Jackson and his "sublime companion" Min Ah.

Watch the whole thing below and just take it all in, even if you don't have the full translation. He ended with asking how his French was, saying it was "almost mediocre" and that his "tongue is tired."

I think you see for yourself that he can!

Who is Jim Carrey's girlfriend Min Ah?

That we don't know at the moment. By many accounts, he doesn't do a lot of public appearances so this may have been a surprise to many fans.
