‘Tyler Perry’s The Oval’ Star Nick Barrotta Signs With Untitled Entertainment

“Tyler Perry’s The Oval” star Nick Barrotta has signed with Untitled Entertainment.

The New York native is best known for his role as Allan on the BET drama “The Oval” where he was promoted to a series regular in 2021. He has filmed over 100 episodes and counting through the show’s six seasons.

“The Oval” is a political drama soap opera about a First Family and the inner workings of the White House. Season 7 is set to premiere later this year. Perry has written all of the episodes and has directed most of them.

In 2025, Barrotta landed a role in Perry’s feature film “Duplicity” which went on to take the #1 spot globally on Prime Video. Barrotta played the role of “Sam” in the legal drama that follows high powered lawyer Marley (Kat Graham) as she is tasked with solving the case of the shooting of her friend’s husband.

Barrotta’s credits also include “Divorce Court” where he was the bailiff and court reporter alongside the show’s longest running judge, Judge Lynn Toler, for two seasons beginning in 2018.

Before jumping into acting, Barrotta working in entertainment journalism with stints at Entertainment Tonight. Celebuzz and The Wrap, where his celebrity interviews included John Legend, Khole Kardashian, Jordan Sparks, Heidi Klum and Taraji P. Henson. He hosted The Wrap’s interview series “Drinking with the Stars.”

Barrotta’s modeling career included campaigns with Perry Ellis, New Balance and Muscle Pharm.

Barrotta is based in New York.
