Variety Promotes Jamie Aronson to VP of Event Production

Jamie Aronson has been promoted to VP of event production for Variety.

Aronson oversees all aspects of production for the nearly 100 events that Variety hosts annually around the world. She manages the team that creates and executes all events, from thematic ideation to physical production and budget management for such franchises as Power of Women, Entertainment Marketing Summit and Power of Young Hollywood. She also leads the execution of Variety studios and installations at festivals and markets such as the Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Cannes Lions and Toronto International Film Festival.

After nearly a decade with Variety, Aronson has proven to be an indispensable leader as live media and events have become an increasingly important part of Variety‘s operations. Aronson reports to Mary Sadeghy, Variety’s senior VP of strategy and account management.

“Jamie has proven herself to be a creative and resourceful events executive who has been instrumental in elevating Variety’s events.” Sadeghy said. “Her tireless work, innovative ideas and ability to translate our vision to memorable live experiences enables us to host some of the industry’s most exciting and exemplary events globally.”

Aronson joined Variety in 2017 as events manager after holding similar roles at SBE and Cecconi’s.

“It’s been incredibly rewarding to shape and grow our live media events portfolio over the past nine years,” said Aronson. “Our work continues to evolve and resonate across the industry, and I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished. I’m thrilled to expand my role as we build on that foundation and look toward Variety’s next chapter.”
