49ers Free Agency Tracker: Rumors, Reports, and Signings: Luke Gifford re-signs

The San Francisco 49ers have acquired five players from outside of the building so far in free agency:

The team also re-signed more than a handful of in-house free agents:

The only person to receive an extension for more than one year was Pineiro. Sam O received a restricted free agent tender.

Jordant Elliott signed with the Titans

Kendrick Bourne is off to Arizona

Matt Hennessy signed with the Cowboys

And news just came out that Jason Pinnock re-signed with the Giants

Friday will likely be slow for signings around the NFL. Jauan Jennings is still a free agent.

The Athletic’s Dianni Russini said the Los Angeles Rams continue to monitor AJ Brown’s status. The Rams attempted to trade for Brown before they acquired cornerback Trent McDuffie.

Kyle’s update, 9:58 a.m. PT: The 49ers are re-signing their Pro Bowl special teamer Luke Gifford to a two-year contract for $5.3 million, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Gifford joins Fred Warner, Dre Greenlaw, Dee Winters, Nick Martin, Garrett Wallow, and Tatum Bethune as the 49ers’ linebacking group. The team appears to be set now at the position.

Kyle’s update, 1:24 p.m. PT: The Carolina Panthers signed former Packers left tackle Rasheed Walker. This move comes after Carolina’s left tackle, Ikem Ekwonu, suffered a ruptured patellar tendon. It’s a one-year deal for Walker.
