Former NASCAR driver Chase Pistone has died at the age of 42.
His brother, Nick, shared the devastating news on Facebook, writing: 'Well, my young brother and best friend is gone.
'I'm broken-hearted and don't know if I'll ever get over this. I miss you Chase already and I hope you are in a better place.'
No cause of death has been released but Pistone's family asked that the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline be shared with the news of his death.
NASCAR legend Bubba Wallace also posted on X: 'A guy I raced with in legends cars took his life today.'
Pistone raced in 10 NASCAR National Series events between 2005 and 2014. Later in his career, he was also a driver and team owner in the Legends Car divisions.

He was the grandson of iconic driver 'Tiger' Tom Pistone, who claimed two victories in the NASCAR Cup Series.

On his debut in 2006, Pistone finished 37th for Braun Racing after his car suffered from overheating. He was forced to retire after 111 laps.
His career-best finish came at Iowa Speedway in 2014, when he claimed 14th for Turner Scott Motorsports.
Pistone also made six starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and secured a top-10 finish in his only ARCA Menards Series start. He credited himself with more than 80 wins in Legends, Late Model, and USAR feature races after leaving NASCAR.
