Winter Olympics 2026 Olympics Pat McAfee had $150K surprise for Team USA at wild gold-medal celebration in Miami By Jenna Lemoncelli Published Feb. 25, 2026, 8:49 a.m. ET Pat McAfee covered the check after the U.S. Olympic men’s hockey team racked up a hefty booze bill at Miamis E11EVEN nightclub Monday, one day after their 2-1 overtime victory against Canada in the gold-medal game at the Milan Cortina Games.
While the mens team was partying inside the club, a video of the ESPN personality praising the team flashed on the screen, as seen in a TikTok video.
“Boys, thank you for representing the United States of America in such a great way, said McAfee, who was sporting an American flag tank top. It was an honor to watch you win. Enjoy the hell out of it.
@bkaminsky Last night, the USA Mens Hockey Team celebrated their Olympic Gold at E11EVEN Miami, the famous 24/7 ultraclub. Pat McAfee surprised the whole team by paying for the tab all night. Wow! ♬ Dream On Aerosmith
Tonight all of your drinks are on me, @11Miami and the rest of the United States of America. Cheers, boys, we appreciate you.
The club went through over $150,000 in champagne during the celebration, according to the Daily Mail.

The players were also seen drinking Michelob Ultra beer, among other beverages.
McAfee, whose daily ESPN show returns from a Super Bowl break on Wednesday, congratulated the mens team in a series of tweets after their dramatic gold-medal win over Canada.
The mens team had a whirlwind week thus far.
They made waves online over their now-viral phone call with President Donald Trump, who cracked a joke about having to invite the womens team — who also won gold in Milan over the Canadians — to the White House, or else: “I believe I probably would be impeached.”
Trump and the mens team faced backlash after sharing a laugh over the joke.
The women’s team declined Trump’s invitation due to previous scheduling conflicts.
Some members of the mens team attended Trumps State of the Union address in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, and they visited the White House.
Trump said in his speech that the womens team would soon be coming to the White House.
He also announced he will be giving team goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, who made 41 saves in the gold-medal game, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the U.S. governments highest civilian honor.
