Pedri sends out heartfelt message after Barcelona’s Copa del Rey exit

Barcelona star Pedri has sent out a message to fans following the team’s Copa del Rey exit at the hands of Atletico Madrid.

The midfielder put in another sensational showing as Barca ran out 3-0 winners in the second leg of their semi-final but ultimately lost 4-3 on aggregate.

Pedri’s now taken to social media to thank fans for their support and is confident brighter days are ahead.

“We gave it everything (and more) and we came so, so close. There are two very important goals ahead, and I’m convinced that with our effort and the support of our people, who were incredible last night, we’re going to experience great nights. Now, it’s time to recharge our energy. Head high and RGULL.”

Pedri certainly gave everything over the 90 minutes, with Flick admitting after the game it was a risk to keep him on for the 90 minutes as he’s only just returned from injury.

The Spain star did look absolutely drained at the end of the match, so let’s hope Barca take good care of him in the coming weeks and months as he’s vital to the team’s hopes of silverware.
