Another quarterback option for the Pittsburgh Steelers is now off the table.

Former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is signing a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings, per Adam Schefter. The former No. 1 overall pick was officially released by the Cardinals on Wednesday at the official start of the new league year.

It now appears that it is Aaron Rodgers or bust for the Steelers, as nearly all starting-caliber free agent quarterbacks are off the market. With Murray going to Minnesota, Geno Smith being dealt to the New York Jets, and Tua Tagovailoa signing with the Atlanta Falcons, the only starter on the market outside of Rodgers is Kirk Cousins.

Rodgers was noncommittal about his future with the Steelers, and his NFL career as a whole, in an appearance last week on The Pat McAfee Show. Should he decide to retire, the Steelers would have to shift gears.
