The NFL’s legal tampering period started on Monday at noon, and continues concluded at 4 p.m. ET today. The new league year has officially started and the deals that have been agreed to during this negotiating window can now be finalized. The Washington Commanders have agreed to terms with seven pending free agents from other teams, along with signing ten of their own players who were set to hit free agency. Six of the seven players have been on defense, and they finally added a weapon for Jayden Daniels in TE Chig Okonkwo.
The new league year starts today at 4 p.m. ET. Washington currently has the most available cap space in the NFL($76.4 million), but only 63 players under contract to fill a 90-man roster. They will need to continue signing players at various salary/skill levels, along with their six draft picks for April’s draft.
