Amazon Cargo Jet Overruns Miami Runway at 129 mph, Smashes Through a Fence Onto a Road and Kills at Least Five
An Amazon Air cargo plane landing at Miami International Airport on Sunday afternoon failed to stop, tore through a razor-wire fence and concrete barriers, and plowed across a four-lane road into several vehicles before coming to a burning halt just short of a crowded parking lot. At least five people were killed and five injured, three of them critically, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Chief Raied "Ray" Jadallah said. The National Transportation Safety Board is due to brief on its investigation Monday.
