It is the first time in 21 years of US Open appearances that Djokovic has lost in the first round here, and his earliest exit at any Major since the 2006 Australian Open. The defeat came exactly 21 years to the day after his US Open debut. "I didn't enjoy myself," Djokovic said. "I think it was obvious that it was an awful feeling on the court for me."
