OREGON CITY, Ore. (KATU) — Oregon health officials identified another place in Clackamas County where people may have been exposed to measles.
The Oregon Health Authority and Clackamas County Health officials say anyone who visited the Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center emergency department waiting room in Oregon City on Wednesday, Feb. 25 between 10 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. may have been exposed.
If you were at that location at that time, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
The latest measles exposure site comes as cases continue to rise in Oregon, Washington, and across the United States.

So far in 2026, Oregon has identified five cases – four of those patients were unvaccinated and the fifth has an unknown vaccine status.
However, viral analysis of the state’s wastewater suggests that measles is more widespread in the state.
“Wastewater surveillance serves as an early warning signal system, which gives communities a head start to prepare and empowers everyone to make informed decisions about immunization,” said Dr. Howard Chiou, medical director for communicable diseases and immunizations at OHA’s Public Health Division.
If you suspect you have measles and have the symptoms, call ahead to the medical care provider so they can create an entry plan that doesn’t expose others.
