The Warhammer 40,000 universe is set to expand with the upcoming release of Eye of Terror: Reign of Iron, chronicling the Iron Warriors' campaign to seize control of the Cadian Gate. As the Imperium faces distractions elsewhere, the Iron Warriors, led by their Primarch Perturabo, launch their bid to control this crucial region of space, with the forge world of Agripinaa as their primary obstacle. This new expansion set includes in-depth background lore, new rules, and Detachments for several factions, including Chaos Space Marines, Space Marines, Imperial Knights, Adeptus Mechanicus, and Chaos Knights.
Eye of Terror: Reign of Iron Expansion Details
Eye of Terror: Reign of Iron is a two-book expansion set for Warhammer 40,000, focusing on the wars in the Cadian Gate warzone. The set includes extensive background lore and new rules for fighting battles in this hellish landscape. Players can expect new Detachments for several factions and a book of rules for massive Apocalypse battles, allowing for enormous armies and the biggest, deadliest weapons in their arsenals.
A Collector's Edition of the set will also be available, featuring alternate art covers with silver foil details, silver page edges, and a matching ribbon bookmark. Both versions of the release will be available while stocks last.
New Miniatures and Characters
The expansion introduces several new miniatures and characters, including Kravek Morne, a powerful Iron Warriors warlord and expert battlefield commander. Morne is famous for leading charges in his Land Raider and his Terminator bodyguard, making him the perfect Warlord for Chaos Space Marine armies swearing allegiance to the Iron Warriors.
Other new releases include the Defiler, a terrifying Daemon Engine that can be used in various Chaos armies; Mutilators, Chaos Space Marines obsessed with close combat; and an Iron Warriors upgrade pack to customize Chaos Legionaries and Havocs.
Battalion Boxes and Combat Patrols
Several new Battalion boxes and Combat Patrols will be released alongside the expansion, including the Eye of Terror Battalion: Adeptus Mechanicus, Eye of Terror Battalion: Imperial Knights, and Eye of Terror Battalion: Sons of Dorn. These boxes contain thematic selections of units and are perfect for starting a new army or expanding an existing one.
White Dwarf and Black Library Releases
The April issue of White Dwarf will feature content related to the Imperial Knights and Chaos Knights, including a new Titanic Duel mini-game and a spotlight on the Chaos Defiler. Additionally, new Black Library releases will be available for pre-order, including Aestred Thurga: Pyre of Faith by Danie Ware, Paragon of Faith and Other Stories, and Carnage Unending, an anthology of classic short stories.
