Karandeep Singh Oberoi is a Durham College Journalism and Mass Media graduate who joined the Android Police team in April 2024, after serving as a full-time News Writer at Canadian publication MobileSyrup.

Prior to joining Android Police, Oberoi worked on feature stories, reviews, evergreen articles, and focused on 'how-to' resources.

Additionally, he informed readers about the latest deals and discounts with quick hit pieces and buyer's guides for all occasions.

Oberoi lives in Toronto, Canada. When not working on a new story, he likes to hit the gym, play soccer (although he keeps calling it football for some reason🤔) and try out new restaurants in the Greater Toronto Area.

If Google follows a familiar release pattern, you can expect the Pixel 11 series to be released sometime in the second half of August. Considering that the release is a little over six months away at this point, we take most Pixel 11 series leaks with a grain of salt.

However, there are also compelling leaks out there.

Soon after the Pixel 10a's launch, the rumor mill started to churn out details about Google's next big release, and it looks like the Pixel 11 series, or at least the Pixel 11 Pro XL, will boast some design changes.

The information comes via case maker ThinBorne, which (likely) mistakenly went live with a Pixel 11 Pro XL case listing on its site, as highlighted by AndroidAuthority.

At first glance, the case indicates that the Pixel 11 Pro XL will boast a very similar design to the Pixel 10 Pro XL. It's only when you actually peer carefully that you start to notice the changes.

The camera lip, as seen in the third image above, is not as protruded as the Pixel 10 Pro XL's cases. The tech giant has already shown that it can massively reduce the camera island (Pixel 9a and Pixel 10a), so it's very possible that Google is opting for a muted rear camera island look for the Pixel 11 series too.

Elsewhere, the case also appears to sport a slightly 'taller' camera cutout, going from an elongated pill-like cutout to a slightly more rectangular cutout.

If ThinBorne's case design is based on early CAD renders provided by Google, we could be looking at a tweaked camera island on the upcoming series.

Considering that this is a very early leak, we'd suggest that you take it with a grain of salt. We'll learn more about the Pixel 11 series in the coming months!
