Nintendo Indie World: 18 Games We Saw

As Nintendo loves to do, the Mario company hosted a Direct presentation at the crack of dawn this morning. The Indie World Showcase presentation showed off several independent games coming to Switch and Switch 2 in the coming months. If you couldn’t watch the show live you can watch it below. If you just want the highlights, read on.

Kicking off the show is Denshattack!, the upcoming extreme public transit game in which you do sick stunts while driving a train car on just about every surface you can imagine, like it were a Sonic game. The game is coming out on June 17 and a demo is available today. The Switch 2 version will have an exclusive skin for the train you won’t find on other platforms.

For all my fellow dog lovers, My Little Puppy is an adventure game about a dog in the afterlife seeking out his owner who has finally arrived. It’s coming on May 29, and I will probably cry when I play it.

The sequel to the co-op platformer in which players form chains to swing and latch onto platforms is coming to Switch and Switch 2 this summer. Heave Ho 2 will include new modes and online play.

Next up is Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, the top-down roguelike dungeon crawler and shop management sim is coming to Switch 2 later this year.

Woodo is a puzzle game about creating wooden dioramas that tell a story. It’s coming to Switch and Switch 2 this summer.

Twin-stick shooter RPG Minishoot’ Adventures, which many folks really enjoyed when it released on Steam, is coming to Switch 2 today.

Acclaimed horror adventure game The Midnight Walk launched last year on other platforms, and it’s coming to Switch 2 March 26.

Don’t Starve developer Klei Entertainment revealed Rotwood, a fantasy run-based beat-em-up that is launching as a console exclusive on Switch 2 today.

Mixtape, the coming-of-age adventure game in which you’re basically acting out music videos, is coming to Switch 2 on May 7.

Guacamelee developer Drinkbox Studios showed off Blighted, its upcoming Hades-esque action RPG. The game is coming to Switch 2 this fall.

Sci-fi shooter Deadzone: Rogue is bringing rogue-like elements and co-op scraps to Switch 2 on March 17. It will support mouse controls on the system.

We also saw a montage of upcoming games.

Blue Prince closed out the show, as the award-winning puzzle game will finally come to the Switch 2 right after the show.
