Bethesda’s Starfield has been out for some time on Xbox & PC, but a PS5 release was always on the cards. Now, thanks to one of the most trusted sources in the industry, we know it’s happening, when it’s launching on PS5, along with editions and prices.
Todd Howard recently shut down ‘Starfield 2.0’ claims, denting hopes for a sequel anytime soon. On the other hand, if you’re a PlayStation user still keen to see what Bethesda‘s original sci-fi spectacular is all about, then you’ll be pleased to know the rumor is no longer just that.
Starfield Officially Coming To PlayStation 5
Starfield’s PS5 launch date has been revealed by the ever-reliable billbil-kun of Dealabs.
They have quoted an April 7, 2026, release date for PS5 owners, and you will have the choice of two editions: A Standard Edition and a Premium Edition.
This lines up with Insider Gaming’s report that Starfield would launch in April 2026 on the PlayStation 5.
You can check out the confirmed editions and prices below:
- Starfield PS5 – Standard Edition: €49.99 / £44.99
- Starfield PS5 – Premium Edition: €69.99 / £59.99
There’s a definite discount here for PlayStation owners, making it a more alluring proposition if you want to see what the fuss is all about.
billbil-kun also added: “According to our information, pre-orders for the PS5 version of Starfield are expected to open on March 18, 2026, or possibly on March 17 in the early evening.”
Another huge win is that if you’re into actually owning your games, you can look forward to a physical release as well.
